"Ambassadors of the Russian Language" to give classes in schools in Turkey
December 20, 2021 an expedition of the international volunteer program "Ambassadors of the Russian Language in the World" was launched in the Republic of Turkey with the support of the Russian House in Ankara.
Seven ambassadors of the Russian language from different cities of Russia - Moscow, Arkhangelsk, Rostov-on-Don, Petrozavodsk, Volgograd, Kazan and Ufa - flew to Antalya to give classes with students of Turkish educational institutions.
The expedition will cover at least five Turkish schools in which Russian is taught as a foreign language. The classes will also be held at the Moscow International School, which has been the headquarters of the program in the Republic of Turkey since 2018.
The program "Ambassadors of the Russian Language in the World" is implemented by the Pushkin State Institute of the Russian Language with the support of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation.
When studying the Russian language, schoolchildren have opportunity to use materials from the special collection of the Presidential Library Russian Language, which includes manuscripts and publications of monuments of Russian writing, archives, scientific works (including dissertations and abstracts), dictionaries and reference books, textbooks of various types and levels.
Only a part of the materials from the electronic repository is publicly available on the Presidential Library's portal and in full at the remote access centers opened in different countries of the world. One of these centers has been opened since 2014 at the Russian House in Ankara.
