The Presidential Library spotlights the cultural heritage of the peoples of Russia

The year 2022 has been declared the Year of Folk Art and Intangible Cultural Heritage of the Peoples of Russia. Vladimir Putin supported this idea at a meeting of the Council for Interethnic Relations under the President of the Russian Federation. Then at the end of December 2021, a corresponding Decree was signed.

The Presidential Library as a nationwide electronic repository of digital copies of the most important documents, as well as a multimedia multifunctional (cultural and educational, scientific and educational and information and analytical) center not only stores in its collections a variety of materials dedicated to folk culture (scientific research, collections of folklore of the peoples of Russia, videos), but also creates documentaries that tell about the traditions, customs and art of numerous peoples of Russia.
