
A visiting lesson about the Presidential Library’s resources held in Yekaterinburg
Marking the Day of Slavic Literature and Culture, the librarian of the Sverdlovsk Regional Center of the Presidential Library, Yulia Vaganova, visited the pupils of the Ushinsky Classical Russian School in Yekaterinburg. The pupils study the Church Slavonic language among the main subjects, so the meeting was devoted to an overview of the Russian Language collection of the Presidential Library.
Pupils of the school learned about the annals, monuments of Russian literature, studies of famous scientists and figures in the field of the Russian language. The animated film Word - Meaning. Culture = Cultura, which tells about the unique invention of mankind - the alphabet has been of interest among the pupils.
The Presidential Library’s portal features the collection Sverdlovsk Region: Pages of History which contains statistical materials, studies, essays and photographs of the 19th - early 20th centuries and spotlights geographical, demographic, socio-economic and socio-political aspects the history of the region.
