The Penza Regional Center of the Presidential Library held the event "Let's remember..."

22 June 2022

On the eve of June 22, 2022 the guys from the gymnasium № 13 in Penza visited the Lermontov Penza Regional Library which hosted the event prepared by the specialists of the Penza Regional Center of the Presidential Library.

After watching the documentary chronicle of the terrible events of June 1941, the guys learned about the heroism of the first defenders of the Motherland, the perfidy of the Nazis and the inviolability of our people's faith in Victory. The children heard a story about the self-sacrifice of Soviet soldiers, the courage and perseverance of citizens who worked in the rear, about children who helped the front with their work and courage.

It is not easy for boys and girls of today to imagine what their peers experienced during the Great Patriotic War. However, the verses of the war years touch the guys today. To the sounds of a metronome, those present honored the memory of the defenders of the Motherland with a minute of silence.

Thanks to the event, the guys understood: you need to know and always remember about the war, remember those people who brought victory and peace!

The Presidential Library’s portal features the collection Penza Region: Pages of History.
