Exhibition of Russian and Syrian artists opened in Moscow
A joint exhibition of Russian and Syrian artists "Damaskva" was opened in the Moscow club-gallery "Krylatsky Ornament". The exposition features paintings about the cultural heritage, history and modernity of Syria.
The idea for the exhibition emerged after a trip by Russian artists to Syria at the invitation of the Russian House in Damascus. Specialist in cultural relations of the Russian House Aya Shkhade notes that the Syrian society is close to Russian in its form and content - the works presented imitate everything that unites our countries historically and in the future.
On the opening day, the exhibition was visited by Syrian students and representatives of the Syrian community, Russian art critics and art historians, as well as residents of the capital. The exhibition will run until October 30, 2022.
The remote access center to information resources of the Presidential Library, opened in 2022 at the representative office of Rossotrudnichestvo in Damascus, today allows guests of the Russian House to learn about the whole variety of collections of the library's electronic collections.
A lot of materials about Russian-Syrian relations are available in the electronic collection of the Presidential Library Russia - Syria: the History of Relations. It includes scientific research, reference, archival and other materials that spotlight the history of relations between Russia and Syria from the 19th century to the present day.
