A round table dedicated to the memory of the famous historian Anatoly Kirillov held in Yekaterinburg

Representatives of the Sverdlovsk Regional Center of the Presidential Library based on the Belinsky Sverdlovsk Regional Universal Scientific Library attended the round table "A. D. Kirillov's contribution to the development of education in the Urals and Sverdlovsk Region". The event was held on November 17, 2022 at the Ural State Pedagogical University.

Doctor of Historical Sciences, Professor of the Ural Federal University, a specialist in modern Russian history Anatoly Kirillov was a good friend and patron of the Presidential Library. The book collection, which is the traditional paper collections of the Sverdlovsk Regional Center, is an invaluable gift from a scientist who donated his library to the institution, which includes more than six thousand depository items. Among them are illustrated encyclopedias, albums, magazines and other unique materials that are in demand today among historians, local experts and students, and are also regularly shown at various exhibitions and workshops.

Anatoly Kirillov paid close attention to the issues of patriotic education of the younger generation and was engaged in educational activities to preserve cultural and historical memory.

The Presidential Library’s portal features the collection Sverdlovsk Region: Pages of History. It includes statistical materials, studies, essays and photographs of the 19th - early 20th centuries that spotlight various aspects of the development of the region.
