
A round table dedicated to the Russian Science Day held in Crimea
On February 8, 2023 the Franco Crimean Republican Universal Scientific Library hosted a round table "Russian Science Day in Crimea: mentoring as an effective tool for professional development". It took place as part of events dedicated to the Year of the Teacher and Mentor.
During the round table, scientists, teachers, students, as well as specialists from various institutions and organizations discussed issues of culture, education, medicine and sports.
Yakov Shraiberg, president of the National Library Association "Libraries of the Future", scientific director of the State Public Scientific and Technical Library of Russia, and Valentin Pronin, winner of the municipal stage of the All-Russian contest "Teacher of the Year of Russia", attended the event.
Elena Yasinova, Director of the Franco Crimean Republican Universal Scientific Library greeted the audience. She noted the importance of Russian science on the world stage, which is famous for the high achievements of its scientists and their advanced developments in all areas of activity.
The event participants talked about the leaders of librarianship, the best practices of mentoring in the field of culture, professional projects and effective development tools in the field of education. Issues of mentoring among children and adolescents, as well as achieving high results in sports were discussed. It was about the competitions of pedagogical skills and the practice of teaching in a modern school. In addition, the participants heard a report on the pedagogical heritage of the scientist, physician and spiritual writer Archbishop Luke.
As part of the event, an exposition of materials from the collections of the Presidential Library and the Franco Crimean Republican Universal Scientific Library was presented, featuring scientific publications and works of famous domestic scientists.
The Presidential Library’s portal features the collection Republic of Crimea: Pages of History. It includes archival documents, studies, essays, photographs and other materials that spotlight various aspects of the development of the peninsula from ancient times to the beginning of the 20th century.
