Penza held the International Historical Campaign "Victory Dictation"

Specialists of the Penza Regional Center of the Presidential Library have prepared a book exhibition dedicated to the heroic events of the Great Patriotic War. The exposition was timed to coincide with the International Historical Campaign "Victory Dictation" held at the Lermontov Penza Regional Library.

The event was attended by senior pupils and citizens who are not indifferent to the history of their country. Marina Osipova, Director of the Lermontov Penza Regional Library, greeted the audience.

This year the "Victory Dictation" is dedicated to the Battles of Stalingrad and Kursk, the breaking of the siege of Leningrad and the 80th anniversary of the liberation of Donbass from Nazi invaders. It includes questions on history and is held in a testing format.

As part of the event, specialists of the Penza Regional Center of the Presidential Library also introduced the Dictation participants to the materials of the Presidential Library's collection Memory of the Great Victory. It includes official documents, photographs and newsreels, wartime newspapers, books, testimonies of participants in combat battles and home front workers.

The Presidential Library’s portal features the collection Penza Region: Pages of History. It includes archival documents, essays, studies, statistical and other materials that spotlight various aspects of the development of the region in different historical periods.
