A virtual project dedicated to the Hero of the Soviet Union Vasily Tikhonov presented in Khakassia

Specialists of the Regional Center of the Presidential Library based on the Domozhakov National Library have prepared a virtual project Vasily Tikhonov's Heroic Flights. The resource is dedicated to the participant of the Great Patriotic War, the first Hero of the Soviet Union in Khakassia, Lieutenant General of Aviation Vasily Tikhonov, who became an example of courage and perseverance for the inhabitants of Republic.

The Presidential Library’s portal features the Collection of digitized archival documents, film and photo materials World War II in Archival Documents. It includes more than 350 documents of the Central Archive of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation, dedicated to the implementation of the Lyuban, Vyazemskaya, Barvenkovo-Lozovskaya, Kharkov, North Caucasus, Voronezh-Voroshilovgrad, Rzhev-Sychevskaya, Sinyavinskaya military campaigns of the Red Army against the Nazi invaders in the first half of 1942.

The Presidential Library’s portal features the collection Republic of Khakassia: Pages of History. It includes research, archival documents and audio recordings that spotlight various aspects of the development of the region in different historical periods.
