The Presidential Library's constitution hall available for virtual visits
One has an opportunity to visit the Presidential Library's constitution hall from anywhere in the world. This is possible thanks to the 3D-tour, which is available on the Presidential Library's portal.
The multimedia product not only shows the interior of one of the most beautiful halls of the historical building of the Holy Synod, but also explores the permanent exhibition housed there.
It is especially worth emphasizing that the virtual tour expands the capabilities of the visitor to the Presidential Library's portal: in the digital space one can learn about a document or publication in full.
The Constitution Hall is an exhibition hall of the Presidential Library with a permanent exhibition dedicated to the Russian Constitutions of the 20th century. Documents, photographs, and newsreels are dedicated to the “Basic State Laws” of the Russian Empire, the Constitution of the Russian Socialist Federative Soviet Republic of 1918, and the Constitutions of the USSR of 1924, 1936 and 1977. The stages of the creation and adoption of the Constitution of the Russian Federation of 1993 are presented. One can also learn about the text of the Constitution with the amendments approved during the All-Russian vote on July 1, 2020.
There is a special exhibit in the hall - the only copy of the inaugural copy of the Constitution of the Russian Federation, donated by the head of state on the opening day of the Presidential Library on May 27, 2009.
A visitor to the virtual exhibition has an opportunity to view digital copies of documents with edits and notes from the country’s highest official, video records about the inauguration ceremonies of the President of the Russian Federation in different years, as well as digitized signature sheets that heads of state filled out after taking the oath.
