Tambov Regional Center of the Presidential Library organized web quest dedicated to A. Pushkin
The regional center of the Presidential Library, based on the Pushkin Tambov Regional Universal Scientific Library, hosted a virtual quiz called "Jubilee Pushkin" to celebrate the 225th anniversary of Alexander Pushkin, a great poet, novelist, playwright, and publicist who created the modern Russian literary language.
This event was part of the "Jubilee Quest" series organized by the Tambov Library. Participants had to answer questions about Pushkin's life, his works and the works of artists and composers inspired by his personality and writings.
Sources from the Presidential Library's collection could help answer questions about the quest. These include Andrei Yatsevich's work Pushkin's Petersburg (1933), Nikolai Fatov's essay Pushkin and the Decembrists (1929), a copy of A.S. Pushkin's diary, a postcard featuring a reproduction of Ivan Aivazovsky's painting "Pushkin on the Seashore," and other materials.
In addition, a series of quizzes and educational events dedicated to the poet were held in other regional centers of the Presidential Library and at its remote access centers.
It should be noted that there are more than 1,700 remote access centers to the Presidential Library in Russia and abroad. These centers allow visitors to explore the entire range of collections in the library's digital archive, which includes hundreds of thousands of digitized copies of rare historical documents that reflect the history of our country and constitute its cultural heritage. Visitors can also participate in various projects through these centers, which are hosted by national libraries and Rossotrudnichestvo offices.
