Cultural exchange events between Russia and Azerbaijan took place in Baku
A series of events aimed at strengthening humanitarian and cultural cooperation between Russia and Azerbaijan were organized in Baku with the support of the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation and Rosconcert organization. During the visit of the Minister of Culture of Russia, Olga Lyubimova, to Baku this May, the decision was made to resume exchange projects in the field of arts between the two countries.
The opening event of the series was the gala concert "Russian Classics," held at the Heydar Aliyev Palace. Under the direction of conductor Ivan Rudin, Honored Artist of Russia, the Azerbaijan State Symphony Orchestra performed beloved works by great Russian composers, including P. Tchaikovsky, S. Rachmaninoff, N. Rimsky-Korsakov, and D. Shostakovich.
During the event, a vocal master class was held by the actress Alina Ivakh from the Moscow Regional Theater. The event took place at the Samad Vurgun Academic Russian Drama Theater, and the participants were students from the Azerbaijan State University of Culture and Arts. Additionally, actresses Alexanderina Pitirimova and Natalya Kulikova conducted a master class on acting.
It is noted that the promotion of the culture of Russia among residents and guests of Azerbaijan will continue throughout the year. Plans include film screenings, concerts, performances, and the implementation of educational programs.
