Lesson of memory "The Glorious story of Maria Tsukanova" held in Khakassia

The specialists of the Regional Center of the Presidential Library, based at the N.G. Domozhakov National Library, organized an educational event dedicated to Maria Tsukanova, a Hero of the Soviet Union and medical instructor.

Head of the Regional Center in the Republic of Khakassia, Anna Kalyagina, spoke about the life of the only female recipient of the title of Hero of the Soviet Union for her courage and heroism during the Soviet-Japanese War of 1945.

Residents of Omsk, Irkutsk, and Primorsky Krai participated via video link, and the library staff shared their videos, allowing young participants to learn more about Maria's story and her remarkable life.

The collection Republic of Khakassia: Pages of History is available on the Presidential Library's portal. It contains research, archival documents, and audio recordings that cover various aspects of the region's history.
