On October 21st, 2024, the specialists of the Regional Center of the Presidential Library, based at the Gorky Ryazan Regional Universal Scientific Library, organized an educational event for students dedicated to the 210th anniversary of the birth of the great Russian poet Mikhail Lermontov. Students from School No. 10 attended the event.

The program included a lecture, interactive activities, and a discussion of Lermontov's most famous works. The children learned about the significance of his work for Russian literature and some interesting facts about his life.

Also, the students were taught how to use the resources of the Presidential Library's portal. Thanks to these resources, they were able to participate in a themed quiz during the event and answer questions about Lermontov's life and works.

This event aimed to promote classical literature and reliable information sources among young people.

The collection Mikhail Lermontov (1814-1841) is available on the Presidential Library's portal. It contains materials that showcase the diverse nature of the brilliant poet's personality and his significant role in Russian cultural life. The collection includes books, periodicals, and other materials featuring Mikhail Lermontov's writings, research on his life and work, as well as photographs and postcards of monuments dedicated to him and places associated with his name. Of particular interest are reproductions of paintings and drawings, which help to present Lermontov not only as a poet, novelist, and playwright, but also as an accomplished artist.
