Vivid concerts of Russian musicians held in Bulgaria

12 December 2024

The Russian House in Sofia and the concert hall in Pleven were able to host performances by Honored Artist of Russia Olesya Evstigneeva and the quintet of soloists from the Lyudmila Zykina State Academic Russian Folk Ensemble Rossiya Novy Den.

The concert featured some of their most popular songs, such as Kalinka, Moonshine, Moscow Nights, Dear One, and others. Several hundred fans of Russian culture attended the event in Sofia. Among the guests were Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Russian Federation to Bulgaria, Eleonora Mitrofanova, as well as representatives of diplomatic missions and political figures.

The musicians from the St. Petersburg Nevsky Ensemble also gave concerts in ten cities across Bulgaria. These tours were made possible thanks to the support of the Bulgarian National Russophile Movement and the International Russophile Movement.

The electronic reading room of the Presidential Library, which was opened in 2017 at the Russian House in Sofia, offers its guests an opportunity to explore the diverse collections of the library's electronic fund.

Visitors to the Russian Centre of Science and Culture may find the Russian Language collection particularly interesting. This collection includes over 1,100 rare archival documents, such as manuscripts, works of Russian literature, archival files, scientific publications, dictionaries, reference books, and textbooks, among others.

Guests at the Russian House can also learn more about the history of relations between Russia and Bulgaria through the electronic collection Russia - Bulgaria: the History of Relations, which is available in the Presidential Library.
