
Specialists of Sakhalin Regional Center of Presidential Library took part in Christmas readings
Specialists from the Regional Center of the Presidential Library, based on the Sakhalin Regional Universal Scientific Library, participated in the section The Spiritual Feat of the Soviet People in Art of the XIV Sakhalin Christmas Literary Readings. This event was part of the regional stage of the XXXIII International Educational Readings on The 80th Anniversary of the Great Victory: Memory and Spiritual Experience of Generations.
Svetlana Dobrovolskaya, a specialist from the Sakhalin Regional Center, presented a report on Resources of the Presidential Library for Educational Purposes: To the 80th Anniversary of the Victory to attendees of the event. She introduced attendees to the library's portal, main collections, and educational programs.
Special attention was paid to the project Presidential Library for Teachers: Teaching using Primary Sources and its section Unified History Textbook. Svetlana Dobrovolskaya emphasized the importance of textbooks with QR codes that link to documents, books, articles, films, and other sources of information. She explained that this allows students and teachers to not only study a specific paragraph, but also refer to documentary sources and archival materials.
At the end of the event, participants were shown a collection of digitized archival documents, films, and photographs titled World War II in Archival Documents and the electronic collection Memory of the Great Victory, which are available on the Presidential Library's portal and can be accessed from anywhere in the world.
The collection Sakhalin Region: Pages of History are available on the portal of the Presidential Library. This collection includes geographical descriptions, travel sketches, and archival and visual materials from the 19th and 20th centuries, covering various aspects of the region's development.
