
Educational event in Crimean Regional Center of Presidential Library marks memory of victims of Holocaust
Specialists of the Regional Center of the Presidential Library, based on the Franco Crimean Republican Universal Scientific Library, held an educational event dedicated to the memory of the victims of the Holocaust. The slide review Little Lives of the Holocaust included thematic materials from the Presidential Library and the Franco Crimean Republican Universal Scientific Library.
The meeting was attended by students of the Crimean Boarding School for gifted children. The children were presented with a unique album of children's drawings for poems by poetess Alla Aizensharf And the Germans and dogs are looking for us, published by the St. Petersburg Jewish Charitable Public Organization for the disabled Eva. It is available on the Presidential Library's portal. The book contains poems written by a 6-year-old Jewish girl who, along with her older sister, was hiding from the Nazis. The illustrations for the publication were prepared by modern young artists of the Northern Capital.
In addition, the students learned thematic publications from the collections of the Franco Crimean Republican Universal Scientific Library.
The Presidential Library's portal presents a set of digitized archival documents, film and photographic materials World War II in archival documents. Its volume today is almost 14 thousand materials: maps, diagrams, periodicals, photographs, newsreels for the period from January 1933 to December 1944.
