
Penza teachers of Russian language and literature learned about pedagogical potential of Presidential Library's resources
Specialists from the Regional Center of the Presidential Library, based on the Lermontov Penza Regional Library, held a seminar for teachers of the Russian language and literature on the Pedagogical Potential of the Presidential Library's Resources. The event was organized in cooperation with the Penza Institute for Regional Development.
Teachers learned how to utilize the electronic resources of the Presidential Library for educational and extracurricular purposes. They also discussed the process of connecting schools to the library's electronic reading room and its benefits.
A review of the resources of the Presidential Library revealed a wide range of materials available. Teachers were professionally interested in the Russian Language collection, as well as those dedicated to Russian writers. Additionally, participants were informed about the competition for pedagogical projects, Future of the Fatherland in the Hands of the Teacher, and the project Presidential Library for Teachers: Teaching Using Primary Sources.
During the event, specialists from the Regional Centre of the Presidential Library presented virtual exhibitions, audiovisual material fragments, and discussed the On this Day section of the institution's portal and the library's television channel.
The participants were also informed about the events organized by the Regional Center of the Presidential Library within the framework of the Pushkin Map. For example, one of the stages of the intellectual competition Russia. XIX Century is called "The Golden Age of Russian Literature".
Additionally, the audience was reminded that the Presidential Library regularly holds the Russia in the Electronic World Olympiad for schoolchildren and students in history, social sciences, and the Russian language. Teachers were also invited to take part in a quiz based on previous Olympiad tasks.
As part of the event, teachers participated in web quests dedicated to the works of A. S. Pushkin, I. S. Turgenev, M. Y. Lermontov, and A. P. Chekhov. They completed the tasks with great enthusiasm and expressed their desire to incorporate these resources into their teaching. The teachers noted that using these materials would enhance the level of knowledge among students.
The seminar concluded with an excursion to the Regional Center for Rare Documents and Book Monuments at the Lermontov Penza Regional Library. The collection Penza Region: Pages of History available on the Presidential Library's portal includes archival documents, essays, studies, and other materials that cover various aspects of the region's history.
