Electronic reading rooms of Presidential Library opened in Sevastopol schools

The Presidential Library of the Office of the President of the Russian Federation in cooperation with the Department of Education and Science of Sevastopol is opening electronic reading rooms in schools in the city. It is planned that the electronic reading rooms of the Presidential Library will be available in all 63 educational institutions in Sevastopol.

Thanks to this initiative, students and teachers will have full access to the extensive collection of the Presidential Library. This collection includes books, periodicals, newsreels, scientific and educational films, archive documents, and materials on the history of Russian statehood, all available in digital format.

The opening of electronic reading rooms will allow participants to join events and projects hosted by the Presidential Library. The purpose of these events and projects is to educate young people and provide methodological support for teachers in using the library's resources in the educational process.

The Olympiad Russia in the Electronic World is an annual event for schoolchildren that covers history, social studies, the Russian language, and Russian as a foreign language. It aims to promote the study of Russian history and culture among young people.

Additionally, the library hosts an annual competition called The Future of the Fatherland in the Hands of Teacher with support from the Ministry of Education. The winners' projects are added to the library's collection.

On the library's portal, there is a collection of documents and links (QR codes) that can be used as a supplement to a high school history textbook. These materials include more than 15,000 historical documents and resources.

The electronic collection Sevastopol – the city of Russian naval glory is also available on the library's portal. It includes research, essays, archival documents, photographs, and other materials that reflect the diverse historical past of this heroic city.
