
More than thousand schoolchildren and students took part in Presidential Library's Olympiad in Russian as foreign language
The qualifying round of the Russia in the Electronic World Olympiad in Russian as a foreign language, which took place in a remote format from October 14 to February 3, has come to an end. More than a thousand students from 86 countries took part in this event. Most of them are from Turkmenistan, China, Vietnam, Mongolia, Abkhazia, Kyrgyzstan, and Egypt.
The Russia in the World Olympiad is organized by the Presidential Library and will last from October 2024 to April 2025. This event is open to foreign citizens aged 14 years and older, including schoolchildren and university students. The Olympiad consists of two stages, with the final round taking place from April 1st to 3rd.
During the competition, participants will be tested on three levels of Russian proficiency: elementary, basic, and first certification. The assessment system includes tasks on vocabulary, grammar, writing, and listening.
The results of the Olympiad will be summarized based on the individual competition results. Winners and prize winners will be awarded with diplomas.
The Presidential Library has been hosting the Olympiad in Russian as a Foreign Language since 2019. Thousands of schoolchildren and students have participated in this event during this time. Last academic year, hundreds of students from Vietnam, Iran, Uzbekistan, Egypt, India, China, Turkmenistan, and other countries competed for the title of best.
