First round of Olympiad dedicated to 80th anniversary of Victory in Great Patriotic War started in Penza

Specialists from the Regional Center of the Presidential Library have prepared a series of questions for the online quiz Know and Remember, organized by the Lermontov Penza Regional Library. This intellectual competition is dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War and aims to promote patriotic education among young people and foster a respectful attitude toward the history of our country and the events of the Great Patriotic War in particular.

The questions for the quiz are based on digitized materials from both the Penza and Presidential libraries, providing participants with an opportunity to learn more about Penza's heroes, home front workers, significant battles of the war, and the contribution of Penza-based enterprises during this difficult period.

The Olympiad will consist of three rounds with 15 questions each. The first round will take place from February 18th to March 11th, 2025, the second round from March 12th to April 2nd, and the third round from April 8th to April 24th. Winners will be determined in two age groups: 12-18 years and 19+ years.

The results of the competition will be published on the portal of the Lermontov Penza Regional Library on May 7, 2025, and the winners will be announced on May 8. Participantscan find more information about the competition and its terms in the official regulations.
