
Sverdlovsk Regional Center of Presidential Library launched project Meetings in Russian
On March 6th, 2025, experts from the Regional Center of the Presidential Library, based on the Belinsky Sverdlovsk Regional Universal Scientific Library, hosted the first event for international students from Asia and Africa as part of the Meetings in Russian project.
The students of the preparatory courses at the Ural State University of Economics were introduced to the resources of the Presidential Library related to the Russian language and literature as well as the main collections of the institution. Special attention was given to the collection dedicated to Alexander Pushkin (1799–1837). Additionally, the students were introduced to the 1904 edition of Alexander Benois' Alphabet in Paintings and inscriptions from the 19th–20th centuries.
In conclusion, the participants expressed great gratitude to the organizers for an eventful, informative and warm meeting.
The collection Sverdlovsk Region: Pages of History is available on the Presidential Library's portal. It includes statistical materials, studies, essays, and photographs from the 19th and early 20th centuries covering various aspects of the region's development.
