
Memorial alley planted in honour of 80th anniversary of Great Victory in Armenia
A memorial alley was planted near the Museum of the Mikoyan Brothers in Sanayin to mark the 80th anniversary of the Great Victory. The participants of the action were representatives of the Russian House in Yerevan, the South Caucasus Railway, diplomats, servicemen, as well as participants of the "New Generation" programme of Rossotrudnichestvo.
Victoria Deripasko, Deputy Head of the Russian House in Yerevan; Alexei Melnikov, General Director of the South Caucasus Railway; Stas Namin, grandson of Anastas Mikoyan, musician, composer, director welcomed the audience.
The idea to create the alley was born by the team of the Russian House in Yerevan. The management of the South Caucasus Railway supported the project and undertook to implement it. The organisation already has extensive experience in implementing social initiatives related to the preservation of historical memory. The staff of the South Caucasus Railway took the idea of renovating the alley in Sanahin with special attention.
The Electronic Reading Room of the Presidential Library, opened in 2021 on the basis of the House of the Russian Book in Yerevan, today allows its guests to get acquainted with the whole variety of collections of the library's electronic fund.
The visitors of the House of Russian Book will be interested in the Russian Language collection of the Presidential Library. It includes more than 1,100 items of rare archival documents, including manuscripts, monuments of Russian writing, archival files, scientific works, dictionaries, reference books, teaching aids and much more.
