
Presidential Library held training seminar for foreign schoolchildren and students
In the framework of the partnership agreement with the Federal State Budgetary Educational Institution "Centre for International Cooperation of the Ministry of Education of the Russian Federation" the Presidential Library held a training seminar for foreign schoolchildren and students - future teachers of Russian language and Russian language subjects abroad, studying in Russian and foreign higher education institutions implementing programmes at the E. D. Stasova International School "Interdom" in Ivanovo on May 6, 2025. The event was held in the video-conference mode and was dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War.
Aleksey Voronovich, Director of the Scientific and Expert Work Department, and Stanislav Alekseev, Deputy Head of the Scientific and Methodological Department, took part in the event on behalf of the Presidential Library. They told about the structure of the Presidential Library's collection, about basic and thematic collections, about the search system of the library's portal and peculiarities of work in its electronic reading rooms. They also introduced the listeners to the Presidential Library's educational projects, such as Olympiads, video lectures, contests, multimedia lessons and other events.
Cooperation between the Presidential Library and the Federal State Budgetary Educational Institution "Centre for International Cooperation of the Ministry of Education of the Russian Federation" is carried out within the framework of the cooperation agreement.
In 2024, an electronic reading room of the Presidential Library was opened on the site of the E. D. Stasova International School Interdom. Thanks to this, teachers and students of Interdom were able to familiarise themselves with the entire collection of the institution and use unique historical materials in the educational process. To date, the collection contains more than one million items. These are books and periodicals, archival documents, video lectures, documentaries, virtual exhibitions and many other materials, including those dedicated to the history of education in Russia.
Teachers and students can also take part in various educational and outreach projects of the Presidential Library.
