
Penza schoolchildren presented with resources of Presidential Library dedicated to Slavic writing
On May 22, 2025, specialists of the Regional Center of the Presidential Library, based on the M. Y. Lermontov Penza Regional Library , held a quiz dedicated to the Day of Slavic Writing and Culture, which is celebrated annually on May 24. The participants were students of Penza school with advanced study of computer science No. 68.
During the event, the children were told about the creators of the Slavic alphabet Cyril and Methodius, Cyrillic and Glagolitic, the development of printing in Russia, as well as the design of a modern library.
Students had to solve puzzles, solve arithmetic examples, and complete a number of other tasks.
In the electronic reading room, the students successfully coped with the task of searching for information in the digitized materials of the Presidential Library. Among them are the publication Saints Constantine and Methodius, the First Slavic Teachers (1885) and Virtual tour of the exhibition "Monuments of Book Culture: from paper to digital".
The Buki team won the intellectual competition. Their opponents - members of the team "Lead", received a certificate.
