Russian language classroom opened at Shirak State University in Armenia

A renovated classroom for studying Russian has opened at the Faculty of Humanities of the Mikael Nalbandian State University of Shirak in Gyumri. The project was implemented by the Russian Humanitarian Mission as part of the "Russia with You" initiative, carried out under the auspices of Rossotrudnichestvo.

The event was attended by Vadim Fefilov, head of the Russian House in Yerevan; Anton Berianev, head of the Russian House in Gyumri; Arseny Pronin, head of the Russian Humanitarian Mission in Armenia; Yervand Serobyan, rector of the Hovhannes Hovhannisyan Yerevan State University, as well as teachers and staff of the university.

The Russian language classroom is designed for conducting classes, seminars, and master classes. It is equipped with multimedia and computer equipment and new furniture. The room will be used for student classes, as well as language courses for schoolchildren and residents of Gyumri.

In honor of the opening of the auditorium, the Russian House in Gyumri presented the university with artistic and educational literature, ranging from works by classical authors to practical guides for teachers. These books will make learning Russian more effective and interesting.

The electronic reading room of the Presidential Library, opened in 2021 at the House of Russian Books in Yerevan, now allows visitors to explore the full diversity of the library's electronic collections.

Visitors to the House of Russian Books in Yerevan will be interested in the collection of the Presidential Library Russian Language. It includes more than 1,100 rare archival documents, including manuscripts, monuments of Russian literature, archival files, scientific works, dictionaries, reference books, textbooks, and much more.

The Presidential Library portal also provides access to materials on the history of relations between Russia and Armenia, which are presented in the electronic collection  Russia – Armenia: From the History of Relations.
