E-books about Lenin
On the eve of April 22, 2016, the Presidential Library made available on its website all the volumes of the collected works of Vladimir Lenin.
30 volumes have been digitized and are part of a large collection developed in time for the centenary of the October Revolution to be celebrated next year. The collection will include rare photographs of Lenin and his associates, newsreels of congresses and funeral of the leader of the revolution which have been already digitized. Currently, the library is compiling and summarizing other materials.
Among the books which have joined the collections there are many publications about the biography of Lenin, his life and political views. Most of the rarities were published before 1917, that is, in the conditions of secrecy and political struggle of the early 20th century.
There have been digitized biographical sketches by Kamenev, "Vladimir Ilyich Lenin: essay of his life and work" of 1924; by A. Guilbaud "Vladimir Ilyich Lenin" of 1924; by K. B. Radek "The life and work of Lenin" of 1925, as well as a number of major works of Lenin "What to do?" issued in 1902, "How to start?" issued in 1902, and many others.
Total number of units in "Lenin" collection of the Presidential Library is more than 70.
