On September 27 2010 the Boris Yeltsin Presidential library opened its first electronic reading room abroad in Beijing. The event was timed to the opening of the Russian cultural center of Rossotrudnichestvo (Federal Agency on the CIS, Compatriots Living Abroad and International Humanitarian Cooperation) in China.

September 22, 2010 in the Boris Yeltsin Presidential Library was held the 12th general meeting of the Eurasia Library Assembly. The meetings are held annually and set up the strategy for cooperation between libraries in the post-Soviet area.

On September 1 the Boris Yeltsin Presidential library launched a conference entitled “Territory of Russia in digital space”, thus it dedicated the 2010 Knowledge Day to the territory of Russia.
Professor Brumfield visited Presidential Library
On August 25, 2010 William Brumfield, professor of Slavic studies from the Tulane University, New Orleans, Louisiana visited the Presidential Library. The visit was of familiarization type.
