On September 4, 2012 in The Presidential Library hosted the annual Day of Naval Knowledge. The event was attended by about 300 guests of the Naval Academy of Naval Forces "Naval Academy named after Admiral of the Soviet Union Navy N.G. Kuznetsov", students of the State Maritime Academy named after Admiral S.O. Makarov and other universities of St. Petersburg in the Presidential Library. Participants of the conference in a remote mode were representatives of the Chuvash Republic, Tambov Region, as well as Arkhangelsk, Tyumen Region, Petrozavodsk, Khabarovsk Krai and Moscow. Within the framework of the forum, a teleconference was held with Vladivostok. The rector of the Maritime State University named after G. I. Nevelskiy S.A.Ogay spoke about the results of the sailing training ship "Hope", timed to the APEC-2012 summit in Vladivostok
