The scientific-literary and political journal published in 1894-1897. in St. Petersburg. It was founded by I. Potanin in 1893. In 1895 the journal was taken over by the writer and publisher O.N. Popova. Editors: А.А. Sleptsov, A.M. Skabichevsky. Monthly. On the pages of the journal were printed: S. Krivenko, J. Abramov, L. Obolensky, N. Danielson, N. Vorontsov, V.I. Lenin, G.V. Plekhanov, V.I. Zasulich, Yu.O. Martov, A.M. Kalmykova, P.B. Struve, V.I. Bogucharsky, S. Bulgakov, M.I. Tugan-Baranovsky, M. Gorky, V.V. Veresaev, E. Chirikov and others. .
