The proposed historical and ethnographic collection was written by Peter I. Keppen (1793-1864), a remarkable Russian scientist, geographer and ethnographer, who collected extensive material on the antiquities of the Crimea, which have not lost their scientific significance to ours days. The book details the location of each object and the remaining remains, including fortifications and defenses, monasteries and other architectural structures .
