On the photos: Commemorative medal "Leningrad., Piskarevskoe cemetery". On the front side in the foreground is the Eternal Flame. In the background, the general view of the memorial ensemble at Piskarevsky Cemetery with the Motherland sculpture is depicted, in the upper part there is the inscription: "Leningrad", in the lower part of the circumference there is the inscription: "Piskarevskoe Cemetery". On the reverse side in the center is an image of a commemorative plaque with the inscription: "Nobody is forgotten and nothing is forgotten", in the lower part - two tulips. The images and inscriptions on the medal are embossed.
The medal is dedicated to the Piskarevsky memorial cemetery. During the Great Patriotic War and the blockade of Leningrad, it became one of the main places of mass burials of the victims of the besieged city and the soldiers of the Leningrad front. On May 9, 1960, the Memorial Complex was opened and the Eternal Flame was lit. Lacquered aluminum. The diameter is 79 mm. The author of the design of the medal is A. Skryagin.
