The monument of "Yungam Baltic" is located in the center of the Baltic Youth Square on Vasilievsky Island in St. Petersburg. It was opened on May 24, 1999. The author's team worked on the project: the sculptor L. Yu. Eidlin, the architect VL Spiridonov, the artists VG Passarar, IG Uralov. The monument was created on the initiative of the Young Veterans Society, twice the Red Banner Baltic Fleet and on the basis of the order of the Governor of St. Petersburg. Devoted to the memory of the Baltic youths who participated in the Great Patriotic War. Since 1942, the Young Navy Company has been organized in the Baltic Fleet, in which about two thousand teenagers were trained in the art of war, then participated in combat operations, and in peacetime the fairways were liberated from mines and sunken shells.
