It was located on Khreshchatytska Square (now Maidan Nezalezhnosti) on the even side of Khreshchatyk. The building was built in 1876 by architect A. Schill. A semicircular structure was crowned with a spire with the figure of the patron of Kiev Archangel Michael. At first the building was two-story, the third was completed later. The first floors were occupied by commercial institutions, the rental income of which replenished the city treasury. The structure was dismantled during the reconstruction of the street after the Great Patriotic War. |
