Anniversary of the formation of the 150th Siberian Infantry Volunteer Division (22nd Guard Riga Division)

July 3, 1942, during the Great Patriotic War (1941-1945), the State Defense Committee (GKO) approved the decision of the Bureau of the Novosibirsk Regional Committee of the All-Union Communist Party (Bolsheviks) to form a Siberian Volunteer Division, which was given the name of the Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces of the USSR, I. V. Stalin and the troop number – 150th Infantry Division.

The 100th center of remote access to the resources of the Presidential Library opened in Sverdlovsk Region

The jubilee remote electronic reading room of the Presidential Library in Sverdlovsk Region is located in Nizhny Tagil based on the pedagogical college №1. Its opening was announced at the traditional March meeting of the Presidential Library’s residents in the Middle Urals. In summer, the preparation and equipment of the hall went on, and on October 4, on the eve of Teacher's Day, the hall was solemnly opened remotely.

Marking the 74th Anniversary of the Great Victory: Exhibition “Victory Day” to kick off in St. Petersburg

The exhibition under the title “Victory Day” is opening on May 8, 2019 in the Grand Hall of the St. Petersburg Union of Artists. The objective of the project is to preserve the memory of the wartime, war participants and artists of besieged Leningrad, who did not give up their creative work even during those terrible years.
