The exhibition dedicated to Russian heraldry opened at the Presidential Library

On February 17, 2022 the historical building of the Synod on Senate Square, 3 hosted the grand opening of the exhibition "Heraldic Art". The exposition was prepared by the Heraldic Council under the President of the Russian Federation and the Presidential Library and is timed to coincide with the 300th anniversary of the establishment of the King of Arms by Peter the Great, as well as the 30th anniversary of the restoration of the Heraldic Service in the Russian Federation.

Cinema club meeting will be held on January 29, 2019 at 15:30 in the Presidential Library marking the 75th anniversary of the complete liberation of Leningrad from the Nazi siege. The program includes a concert performance by the laureates and nominees of the Vladimir Spivakov International Sponsored Foundation, as well as a meeting with the film crew and a documentary film about the work of the donor service in the besieged Leningrad “Siege Blood”.

The collection of documents from the personal library of Count M. Vorontsov was donated by the Alupka Palace and Park Museum-Reserve. The Memorial Library is housed in the Vorontsov Palace in a separate, purpose-built building. The collection contains catalogs, plans, calendars, legal studies, European and Russian history, geography, government service, education, court life, and landowner life published in the mid-18th to early 19th centuries.

On April 14, (April 3, O.S.) 1745 in Moscow in a noble family Denis Ivanovich Fonvizin was born, a famous writer, creator of Russian domestic comedy, publicist, translator. He came from a Livonian knightly family. During the reign of Ivan the Terrible, during the war with Livonia, among other German barons, Peter von Wisin was taken prisoner, who later entered the Russian service. His descendants accepted Orthodoxy, became Russian people and the surname began to be written in fusion: Fonvizin.
