The collection, timed to the 225th birth anniversary of an outstanding Russian astronomer of German descent, a member of the Petersburg Academy of Sciences, the founder and the first director of the Pulkovo Observatory, includes archival materials and scientific research on the life and scientific work of Vasily Yakovlevich Struve and his family.

The set of documents covering the campaign of 1860s of two Russian cruiser squadrons under the command of Rear-Admirals S. S. Lesovsky and A. A. On February 12, 2020, at 11:30 a video lecture from the Knowledge of Russia series will be held at the Presidential Library, timed to coincide with the 225th anniversary of the outstanding Russian diplomat, poet, playwright and composer Alexander Griboyedov (1795–1829). The event will be broadcasted live on the library’s portal, in the official group on the VKontakte social network and on the institution’s YouTube channel.
