101 years ago, from July 16 to July 17, the last Russian Emperor Nicholas II, Empress Alexandra Feodorovna, their children — Grand Duchesses Olga, Tatiana, Maria, Anastasia, Tsarevich Alexei, and the accompanying people were shot in Yekaterinburg in the basement of the mining engineer Nikolai Ipatiev.

July 17, 2020 marks 102 years since the death of the last Russian emperor Nicholas II, his family and close associates. They were shot in Yekaterinburg in the basement of the Ipatiev House, the name of which coincides in some ominous fate with the name of the monastery in Kostroma, where the first of the House of Romanov, Mikhail Feodorovich, received news of his election to the throne.

The exhibition of photographer Dmitry Ostroumov and the academic and theological conference dedicated to the centenary anniversary of the death of Emperor Nicholas II and his family, as well as the beginning of the Civil War in Russia, were held at the Russian Cultural Information Center in Sofia. The event was organized by the courtyard of the Patriarch of Moscow and All Russia in Sofia with the support of the representative office of Rossotrudnichestvo in the Republic of Bulgaria.

The opening took place in the Marina Tsvetaeva House-Museum (Moscow) on the Day of Remembrance and Sorrow, June 22, 2017.

The Tragedy of the Motherland ...". The exhibition presents about 150 memorial items of the Romanov family from the collection of the Pavlovsk State Museum-Reserve (to the 100th anniversary of the Romanovs' death).

July 2018 marks the centenary of the death of the last Russian emperor from the House of Romanov - Nicholas II and his family: the Empress Alexandra Feodorovna, their children, as well as their entourage. They were shot on the night of July 16 to July 17, 1918 in Yekaterinburg in the basement of the house of mining engineer Nikolai Ipatiev.
