The Presidential Library collections - marking the 100th anniversary of the first Soviet Constitution

July 10, 2018 marks the 100th anniversary of the adoption of the first Constitution of the young Soviet state. The portal and the collections of the Presidential Library present a large array of electronic documents that reveal a great deal of work on the drafting of the first and subsequent constitutions of post-revolutionary Russia.

March 9 marks the 90th anniversary of the birth of the first person to conquer space, Hero of the Soviet Union Yuri Alekseevich Gagarin. He lived a very short life - only 34 years. Gagarin conquered space at the age of 27.

Historical and documentary exhibition “1939. The beginning of World War II” showcased at the Presidential Library

The Presidential Library has opened a historical and documentary exhibition “1939. The beginning of World War II”. Archival documents, newsreels, photographs presented at the exposition illustrate events that led to a large-scale world conflict, make it possible to understand the reasons for the failure to create a broad anti-Hitler coalition with the participation of the USSR, as well as the logic of the actions of the Soviet leadership in the current international situation.

The Presidential Library released the film “Mikhail Bobrov. Angel's Guardian”, devoted to life and professional activities of Mikhail Mikhailovich Bobrov, a Soviet and Russian military alpinist, military intelligence officer, master of sports of the USSR, honored trainer of Russia. The film will be live broadcasted on the library’s portal on January 30 at 19:00 and 21:00, and on January 31 at 6:00 and 8:00.
