Spring and Labor Day is one of the favorites in our country. May Day received this name relatively recently, in 1992, and before that, May Day was celebrated as the International Day of Solidarity of Workers. People took to the demonstrations with banners, sang songs and chanted life-affirming slogans. They were proud of the scale of the May Day demonstration.

On July 5, the day of the anniversary of the beginning of the Battle of Kursk, a meeting of the organizing committee on preparation and celebration of the 75th anniversary of defeat of the Nazi troops by the Soviet army in the Battle of Kursk was held in the Museum of Victory. The meeting was chaired by Vladimir Medinsky, the Minister of Culture of the Russian Federation, the Chairman of the Russian Military-Historical Society.
