Russian documentarian Victor Kosakovsky made the first film in the world with a frequency of 96 frames per second, whereas the standard is considered to be 24 frames per second. The film "Akvarela" was presented at the Venice Film Festival. Filming took place in most various parts of the world, including Baikal and Greenland.

On August 6, 1961 the Vostok-2 ship set off for the stars. 25-year-old German Titov was on board. The name of cosmonaut № 2 is forever inscribed in the history of world cosmonautics: he became the first person who spent more than 25 hours in orbit, or rather, a day, an hour and 18 minutes. During this time, the Vostok-2 spacecraft under his control made 17 orbits around the Earth, covering 700 thousand kilometers.

The exposition was opened by the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Russian Federation to Germany Sergey Nechaev, the head of the RDNK Pavel Izvolsky, as well as the German astronaut Reinhold Ewald.

The Regional Center of the Presidential Library based on the National Library of Chuvash Republic hosted a round table dedicated to the 60th anniversary of the world's first group flight of the Vostok-3 and Vostok-4 spacecraft piloted by cosmonauts Andriyan Nikolaev and Pavel Popovich. Their task was to investigate the performance of a person during a long stay in weightlessness.
