95 years ago, on December 1, 1934, at 16:30, the first secretary of the Leningrad regional committee and city committee of the CPSU (b) Sergei Mironovich Kirov was killed in the back of his office in Smolny. Unknown materials of the life of this Soviet statesman and politician are available in the Presidential Library’s collections. They are memories of people close to him - a personal driver and a cook; photographs; unique books, including those edited by Lavrentiy Beria.

A unique shrine of the XVII century – a two-story Church of Resurrection in the Isada village is restored near Ryazan. The Temple is called the Leaning Tower of the Ryazan region. In 2006 the landslide came close to the Temple, and the road, passing nearby, turned into a ditch of three meters deep. The Church appeared to be isolated from the village and was hardly slipped in the abyss.

June 24, 2015 the website “Orthodox shrines” is launched. For the last month it was taken fifteen hundred descriptions of icons, holy places and temples. The project is dedicated to the millennium anniversary of the death of the Baptist of Rus’ Prince Vladimir. During this time, about 500 people took part in filling the people's encyclopedia.
