Memory of Russia: Exhibition “Great Art is Nearby. Chagall” opens in Moscow marking the artist’s anniversary

The exhibition Great Art is Nearby. Chagall, timed to coincide with the 135th anniversary of the artist, has opened in the Belyayevo Gallery (Moscow). Visitors will have an opportunity to see authentic works of circulation graphics by Marc Chagall, works by other representatives of the Paris art movement: Henri Matisse, Pablo Picasso, Joan Miró, Salvador Dalí, who strongly influenced Chagall’s creative work, as well as paintings by modern artists, inspired by the great master.

On June 4, 2024, the Regional Center of the Presidential Library, located at the Pushkin Tomsk Regional Universal Scientific Library, hosted a large-scale intellectual game titled "There, on Unknown Paths...". The event took place as part of the "Summer in Pushkin Library" project and was dedicated to the 225th birthday of the great Russian poet Alexander Pushkin. Participants were elementary school students from Tomsk School No. 44.

It was created by the forces of teachers and pupils of Dmitry Shostakovich school № 235, where it is today located. The uniqueness of the museum is in the fact that from a school, amateur, it grew into a serious and world-famous research center.

The Literacy Center of the Gorky Ryazan Regional Universal Scientific Library hosted the opening of an exhibition of works by young craftswomen “Ryazanochki”. It features author's products made by students of the "Vyshevka" and "Kruzhevo" workshops of Children's Art School No. 1. Specialists from the Regional Center of the Presidential Library based on the Lermontov Penza Regional Library held an intellectual tournament “Along the River of Time”. Its participants were senior pupils from several regions of the country. Together with children from Penza schools, pupils from Petrozavodsk, Ulyanovsk, Volgograd and Simferopol answered questions on the history of Russia. In total, more than 100 people gathered at five sites of the regional centers of the Presidential Library.
