The staff of the regional center of the Presidential Library in Penza arranged quest dedicated to the 25th anniversary of the Constitution of the Russian Federation

Employees of the Regional Center of the Presidential Library and the Center for Legal Information, running on the basis of the Lermontov Penza Regional Library, prepared a quest dedicated to the 25th anniversary of the Constitution of the Russian Federation. For the title of connoisseurs of the Constitution, teams of high school students from schools № 37, 64 and school № 11 of the city of Penza checked their knowledge with an in-depth study of humanitarian and legal subjects.

Birthday anniversary of Taras Ogibenin (1861-1935), the master of art photography, photo chronicler of Tyumen, participant of the World Photo Exhibition in Paris

Taras Klimentyevich Ogibenin was born on July 19, 1861, in the Visimo-Shaitansky Demidov Plant. His family moved to Tyumen and founded a chest workshop in the Zarechnaya part of the city. Taras Ogibenin graduated from a technical school in Yekaterinburg, served as the artillerist in Kazan. Then, he passed the exams for the mathematics teacher. Completing the study, he became a teacher at the Tyumen District School. In 1893, Taras Ogibenin resigned.

On April 18, 2025 the specialists of the Presidential Library Regional Centre operating on the basis of the M. Lermontov Penza Regional Library held an interregional intellectual tournament "Russia. Century XIX". Its participants were students from Penza, Syktyvkar (Komi Republic) and Shadrinsk (Kurgan Region). The children competed for the title of experts in the history and culture of our country.

Six cities of our country received the honorary status of the 2020 Russian Cities of Literature. Among them are Anapa (Krasnodar Region), Ishim (Tyumen Region), Tara (Omsk Region), Michurinsk (Tambov Region), Tarusa (Kaluga Region) and Trubchevsk (Bryansk Region). The promotions to honorary titles were approved during a meeting of the Secretariat of the Russian Union of Writers.

Each of the books presents unique archival materials about the heroes of the battles of past years - documents and photographs, almost all of them are published for the first time. The publication of the book series is a joint project of the Vadim Zadorozhny Museum of Technology and the Union of Russian Collectors All-Russian public organization.
