The exhibition, dedicated to the anniversary of the signing of the San Stefano peace treaty that put an end to the Russian-Turkish war, which in Bulgaria is called the liberation war, began to work in Veliko-Tyrnovo. It is timed to the 140th anniversary of the liberation of Bulgaria from the almost five-hundred-year Ottoman yoke.

The Treaty of Turkmenchay between Russia and Iran signed

On February 10th (22nd), 1828 Russian and Iran signed the Treaty of Turkmenchay putting the end to second Russian-Iranian (Russian-Persian) war of 1826-1828.

Ahead of celebrations on the occasion of the 74th anniversary of the Great Victory, the Ministry of Defence of Russia is presenting a special section of the “Victory Commanders: Peaceful Moments of Fate” military and patriotic project - a gallery of unique photographs from family albums, which show the daily life of famous commanders and generals of the Great Patriotic War. This is a joint project of the Ministry of Defence of Russia and the Memory of Victory Commanders Foundation.

Moscow’s Main Archive Directorate launched a new virtual exhibition "Return to Peaceful Life. Moscow after the Great Patriotic War". The exposition covers four years - from 1944 to 1947. During this period, the city authorities had to solve the problem of the conversion from military production.

За этот период городским властям пришлось решать задачи перевода промышленности на мирные.... Мирная жизнь возвращалась в Москву постепенно. Ещё звучали... инфраструктура, перестраивалась под мирные нужды промышленность, восстанавливались разрушенные здания... к мирной жизни. Москва после Великой Отечественной войны». Экспозиция охватывает четыре года: с 1944... по 1947 год. За этот период городским властям пришлось решать задачи перевода промышленности на мирные рельсы.

On the eve of September 13 - International Remembrance Day of the Victims of Nazism - dozens of Russian Regions opened a unique exhibition of archival documents about the tragedy of civilians during the Great Patriotic War and the crimes of the Nazis and their accomplices in the occupied territory.
