Exactly 80 years ago - January 14, 1942 - the immortal poem of the poet Konstantin Simonov Wait for me was first published on the pages of the Pravda newspaper. A digitized copy of this issue is presented in the collections of the Presidential Library and today is available to everyone from anywhere in the world.

7 May 2025 is the 185th anniversary of the birth of Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky – a genius whose music crossed the borders of epochs and countries. For this significant date the staff of the Regional Centre of the Presidential Library, based on the Akhmet-Zaki Validi National Library of the Republic of Bashkortostan, prepared a virtual exhibition "I am as God created me...". It will allow users to discover the work of the great composer in a new way.

One of the ideological inspirers of this holiday was the Russian composer Dmitri Shostakovich.
