Unique publications from the first Russian round-the-world trip of I. F. Krusenstern - at the Presidential Library new exhibition
March 5, 2018, at 14:00 pm the Presidential Library will host the grand opening of the exhibition "The Way Not Experienced by the Russians Before": to the 215th anniversary of the beginning of the first Russian round-the-world expedition". The exposition, elaborated jointly with the Central Naval Library, will tell about the world tour of I. F. Krusenstern and Y. F. Lisyansky, as well as the history of the development of interstate relations between Russia and Japan in the XVIII-XIX centuries.
The film dedicated to the Wildlife Day to be viewed at the Presidential Library
March 1, 2018 at 16:00 the Presidential Library will host a regular cinema club meeting, dedicated to the World Wildlife Day. The program contains viewing and discussion of three short films by Pavel Glazkov, the scientist, the author and the presenter of a videoblog "Each creature in pairs", the founder of the project "New Zoological Museum", candidate of biological sciences.
The history of the development of the Northern Sea Route to be discussed at the Presidential Library cinema club
February 28, 2018 at 15:00 a regular meeting of the Presidential Library cinema club will be held within the framework of the Arctic Day. The program includes showing and discussion of the documentary film "General Directorate of the Northern Sea Route. Pages of History", video tour "Icebreaker “Krassin”: 100 years in the history of Russia” and a presentation of a book exhibition timed to the 85th anniversary of the establishment of the Northern Sea Route "Northern Sea Route - the Ice Road to the Future".

February 28, 2018 the Presidential Library will host a series of scientific and educational events dedicated to the Arctic Day. The events will begin at 10:00 and will be broadcasted live on the Presidential Library portal in the section "Live Broadcast".

February 20, 2018 at 15:00 (Moscow time) the winners of the VIII International Multimedia Contest "Foreign View - 2017" will be awarded at the Presidential library. Representatives of the Government of St. Petersburg, cultural and art institutions are planning to take part in the ceremony. Participants from Moscow, Tyumen and Kazan will join the event through the video-conferencing mode.

The first English-Russian toponymic encyclopedia to be presented at the Presidential Library
On the eve of the FIFA 2018 FIFA World Cup, on February 9 at 14:00 the Presidential Library will host a press conference where the Anglo-Russian toponymic online encyclopedia "Saint-Petersburg" will be presented for the first time. It contains the names of all objects of the urban environment of St. Petersburg written in Latin: railway stations, monuments, post offices, schools and others. These names can be used on city signs, transport schemes, in guidebooks for tourists.
