Literary readings devoted to the 150th anniversary of Maxim Gorky were held in Baku

The Maxim Gorky Central Mobile Library Foundation within the framework of the project of the Russian Information and Cultural Center in Baku hosts "Literary Lounge" readings "Gorky - Literary Mentor".

Participants of the readings were the staff of the library fund, teachers and pupils of the Baku European Lyceum and school № 6 in Baku. They got familiar with the video presentation "The Life and Work of Maxim Gorky", and then discussed the writer's creative biography. There was also held a collective reading of one of his early works “The Song of the Falcon”.

The literary readings were attended by the director of the Maxim Gorky Central Mobile Library Foundation Nushab Alekperov and the chairman of the Association of Teachers of Russian-Language Educational Institutions of Azerbaijan Lyubov Yakunina.

On the portal of the Presidential Library everyone can get familiar with the electronic collection "Maxim Gorky (1868-1936)". The collection, dated for the 150th anniversary of the birth of the Russian writer, playwright and public figure Maxim Gorky (A. M. Peshkov), includes digital copies of books, periodicals and archival documents on his life and work, as well as containing his texts art works, articles, memoirs. In addition, postcards, photographs and other materials with images of the writer and monuments to him are presented.
