
Exhibition of Bashkir artists is now open in the Russian Center of Science and Culture in Astana
"Bashkir Melody of Our Ancestors" Art Exhibition was opened at the Russian Center of Science and Culture in Astana. The exhibition is organized by the Bashkir ethnocultural association "Akbuzat" with the support of the Rossotrudnichestvo representative office in Kazakhstan.
The opening took place on the eve of the Bashkir holiday "Yiyyin", which in the old days was a mass meeting, where important issues of people's life were discussed. Such meetings were held solemnly, with the invitation of guests, foods, games and competitions of the youth. The tradition was almost forgotten, but today it is reborn in Bashkortostan. The Bashkir community in Kazakhstan remembers of it. They will celebrate "Yiyyin" on August 18, and the artists have made their gift for the holiday.
Provided at the exhibition paintings by young artists from different cities of the Republic of Bashkortostan and their Kazakh colleagues introduce visitors to Bashkir culture and traditions. In their canvases there is a national coloring, love of the Motherland, nature, as well as a close connection between the two fraternal peoples - Kazakhs and Bashkirs.
Participants of the exhibition were greeted by acting head of the Rossotrudnichestvo representative office in Kazakhstan Yekaterina Minina, who presented them with letters of appreciation.
On the opening day, a warm welcome, sincere hospitality, acquaintance with representatives of the Bashkir and Kazakhstan schools of painting was waiting for visitors.
The Presidential Library portal provides access to the collection "The Republic of Bashkortostan: Pages of History". The proposed collection contains studies, essays, archive documents, statistical, cartographic, photo and audio materials, revealing the socio-economic, socio-political and cultural development of the Republic of Bashkortostan in the XVIII-XXI centuries.
