Сonsortium of Russian-speaking kindergartens in Mongolia may become a site for multilingual education

18 October 2018

On October 16, 2018 a meeting between the acting head of Rossotrudnichestvo in Mongolia Tatyana Budaeva and Director General of the Consortium of Russian-speaking kindergartens in Mongolia Norovrantsen Altanzul took place at the Russian Center of Science and Culture in Ulaanbaatar.

Opening the meeting, Tatyana Budaeva noted that the RCSC pays much attention to promoting the best Russian educational practices in Mongolia, including pre-school education. She spoke about a seminar held in Ulaanbaatar for school teachers and educators of Mongolian kindergartens who work in a multilingual environment.

The consortium consists of four kindergartens with a total of about 500 children: "Rosinka", "Yagodka", "Laskovy Mir" and "Children of the Future". Knowledge of the Russian language allows pupils of kindergartens of the Consortium to enter Russian-speaking schools of the capital, which, in turn, helps their graduates to continue their education in Russian universities.

Following the meeting, the parties agreed on further cooperation in forming a site for the implementation of multilingual education programs on the basis of the Consortium of Russian-speaking kindergartens in Mongolia. This activity will be organized in close cooperation with the relevant ministry of Mongolia and Russian educational institutions.

The Russian Language electronic collection is presented on the Presidential Library portal. It includes manuscripts and publications of monuments of Russian literature, archiving, research papers (including dissertations and thesis), dictionaries and reference books, and teaching aids. The digital collection "Russian language" will be of interest not only to specialists in the field of linguistics, but also to a wide range of users who love and appreciate the Russian language.
